. Enough .

It's that time of year again, can you tell? Everything screams in your face that you're not good enough. Dieting commercials roll over and over, banners, ads, bloggers - all yell at you to eat clean, drink more water, be your best self. Any second now, every single person in your newsfeed will start choosing a "word" for 2015 and suddenly, you'll think to yourself, hey - maybe I need a word, too. {You don't need a damn word.}

Even my bestie, Miller Lite, came out with a commercial comparing people to snowflakes that are light.

See what they did there?

I'll overlook it just because it's just so yummy.

My point here is that, in between the 4,000 Buzzfeed and Bustle articles on Facebook about how I can have better hair overnight in six easy steps (bullshit), how I can make more friends as an adult (trite), how I can become more approachable (no) ... Between all of that? It's pretty easy for a girl to start feeling like she isn't quite enough. That she doesn't measure up. That she's not pretty enough, smart enough, approachable enough, friendly enough ... whatever
enough.

And that's pretty sad, really.

Because we're enough already, don't you think? You and me?

So here's what I've decided to do for this pre-New-Year's-Eve-advertisement rush of self-betterment propaganda: Own it all and give back good to others.

I probably could be more approachable, my hair looks like a hurricane of horrible in the mornings, and I have enough friends, thankyouverymuch. I'll eat what I want, when I want. I'll exercise when I want, and I'll drink Miller Lite even if they call me a snowflake. I'm going to be my favorite self because I want to be - not because it's almost the start of the new year and advertisers need something to fill the space between Christmas and Valentine's Day.

But here's the thing: You're good enough, too. I just thought you should know. Your smile is pretty enough, your laugh is loud enough, and your soul is good.

I'll tell you any time you need me to - not just three days before you have to have a New Year's Resolution.

xoxo, B.
