I won't be sad to see January go. The days are short and cold, the mornings are dark, and the snow on the ground makes getting out of your car in heels precarious.
It's easy to get lost in it all. It's easy to succumb to the tired and the soft slippers and the late Saturday mornings. It's easy to break up with January before it's even over - to throw up your hands in cheap defeat, to tell January that it's won the round.
I had about enough of January and its cloudy, Polar Vortex, bitchy self. It was about January 13th. A Monday? Maybe a Tuesday? A day when I decided I was already tired of the blistering month that seemed to never end ... when I was sitting at my desk after a long day - they're all long in January. I pulled out my box of stationary from my desk drawer and thought of five people. Quickly, I scribbled five notes to students and colleagues.
Notes of encouragement.
"I see you."
"I hear you."
"I'm proud of you."
It took me less than five minutes (if you saw my penmanship, you'd know why).
Put on some lipstick.
. About Moi .
I love, love, love flannel sheets and I am really passionate about lists on post it notes and most of the time I'm sad that no one else is as excited as I am about Diet Mountain Dew. I also adore run-on sentences. And if you need an awesome virtual assistant, who is full of personality and really good jokes? Email me. I'm your girl.
