So sorry I've been MIA, but holy crap. New job. New school year. New preschool. New, new, new.
Should we catch up for a second?
1) The Boyfriend moved away last weekend and I'm still a little irritated about the whole thing. I did steal his heavy duty three-hole-punch for my classroom, though, so whatever Craig. Whatever.
2) I just ordered this book: Having a Martha Home the Mary Way. It's a bible study/cleaning your house thing, and at this point - whatever helps. My house needs Jesus.
We also aren't going to talk about the red spider that FELL ON ME during my shower yesterday at 5 a.m., or about how I texted Trevor the Terminex Guy AT FIVE AM because he gave me his cell phone number and was all, don't worry, I live in town, text whenever. Except Text Whenever Trevor the Terminex Guy NEVER RESPONDED. Whatever, Trevor the Terminex Guy. Whatever.
Side Note: If you have any good recommendations for face wash, send them my way. My face wash bottle and remaining contents were lost to the Spider Shower Incident of 2017, so I'm loooooooooking for something new.
3) I'm making my fall dinner + lunch menu (I know, I know - I'm actually cooking over here - let's just pretend I do it all the time, okay), and I've added the following ahhhh-maaaaaa-zing recipes:
Bestie Betsy is super awesome about keeping a meal plan on her Google Calendar. She's also really good about sharing it with me (because I HATE TO COOK, you guys). So as she adds and plans, she includes a link to the recipe (I suppose for her grocery shopping planning?) ... which ... in turn, helps me. Any time I'm at a loss for what to put on my own calendar, I search through her "archive". Handy. I'm sure if you ask her very nicely, she'll create a public calendar to share with the world.
4) My friend Natalie and I had a quick discussion last night. Just a check in. A touching base, really. Hi. How are you? How is your heart? Do you like where you are? Encouragement. I like people like Natalie. She's good people because she understands how purposeful and important it is to help people lay their foundations and form their bricks and slay their dragons. She's got her own hikes - we all do, but she is part of a small group of people that really cheer for others. Like deep, deep down, she wants other people to succeed, and she is genuinely happy when they do. There is no malice. There is no jealousy. There is no bitterness. There is only Natalie, clapping for you just like your own mom and dad would.
What I really want to tell you today is that we need to be lights for others. Beacons for others to follow. Hand holders. We need to be the people that others can follow when they've momentarily lost their way.
This world is in a dark and scary place right now.
Be someone that turns on a light.

. About Moi .
I love, love, love flannel sheets and I am really passionate about lists on post it notes and most of the time I'm sad that no one else is as excited as I am about Diet Mountain Dew. I also adore run-on sentences. And if you need an awesome virtual assistant, who is full of personality and really good jokes? Email me. I'm your girl.
