Mother’s day is coming up and if you are like me, your mother is hard to shop for. I find that my parents have most of the things they want and need so I have to look a little harder for gifts.
However, as a mother myself, I do know that getting any gift is such a joy. I am really sentimental about the gifts that my daughter gives me and I love them all. So with that being said, I should probably worry a bit less about what I’m getting for my mom.
I do love giving gifts, and finding neat gifts based on that specific person. I try to listen throughout the year for things I could get as gifts for Christmas or birthdays, and buy things as I go.
I decided to divide up these gifts into categories to make it easier to find what you are looking for. I hope you have as much fun as I did looking through these items. I hope you are inspired
Because it’s spring and I’m obsessed with spring I thought we could start out with gifts for the mom who gardens
The Gardener
- Floral Garden Tools Set– This floral set of gardening tools is so cute! I love the blue color and think this would be a super cute gift for the casual gardener. I love to garden, so I appreciate that this comes with a kneeling pad and garden gloves.

2. Bee Wind Chime– My mother in law has a honey company, and so I thought of her when I saw this. I think this wind chime is so cute, and it’s not too big. I am a big fan of bees, because they are beneficial pollinators and we need them!

3. Hanging Basket Hummingbird Feeder– This is a hummingbird feeder that is built into a hanging basket. I love my summertime hummingbird friends that come visit my feeder. It always makes me smile to see little hummingbirds.

The Wine Lover
- Thin Stem Wine Glasses– These wine glasses have a nice thin stem, so they look expensive, but for a decent price. They come in a set of four. The bowl of the glass is wide and slightly squared adding to the expensive look of the set.
- Upcycled Wine Bottle Serving Platter– This is a cute cheese and cracker serving set for the mother who likes to entertain guests. I know my parents like to have friends over, and this is the perfect size for serving a few friends.

The Foodie
- Pistachio Nut Serveware– I again thought of my mother in law with this one. She always has a bowl of pistachios out on her counter. This serveware includes a place to put the shells, which is super helpful.

2. Sous Vide Cooker- I love my sous vide cooking stick, and use it to make the juiciest steaks. You just place your meats into a ziploc bag and cook at the temperature you want your food to come out at, then just before serving you take them out and sear them on a cast iron pan with butter to get that crust. They always come out perfect. If your mother is a foodie or likes to cook, this, in my opinion, is a must have kitchen item.
3. Himalayan Salt Cooking/Serving Block– This is a basically a slab of himalayan salt that you can cook and serve foods on. It holds both hot and cold temperatures, so you can serve your food at the correct temperature.

The Bookworm
I love to read. There is something about getting lost in a story that just calms me down. If your mother also loves to get lost in a story, check out these cool finds.
- Literary Tea Collection– This tea set is perfect for sipping while reading a book. All the tea is sourced from family farms, and this collection makes up to 75 cups of tea. This set is made in the USA, in Oregon

2. Bookstore Scented Candle– I love lighting a candle, brewing a cup of tea or coffee and curling up with a soft blanket to read. This candle would be the perfect scent for a cozy reading sesh. This candle is made of all soy wax with natural ingredients for those who are sensitive.

3. Leather Heart Bookmarks– This comes in a set of six, and they slide onto the corner of the page to mark your spot in the book. This set comes in pretty packaging and won’t break the bank.

The New Mom

New mother’s need to be pampered and given little breaks so that they can feel human again. Growing a baby and nurturing a new baby take a lot of work! Pamper the new mother in your life with the following
- Gift Basket: This new mom kit comes with a lovely glass for mom’s favorite beverage, bath bombs to relax in the tub, and soft fleece socks to pamper her toes after her soak.
- French Lotion: Pamper the new mother with this lovely French hand cream. It comes in multiple scents, including this lush orange blossom scent. A lovely scent and soft skin can go a long way in making mom feel special. To make this a gift set, order the matching hand soap
- Floral Tote Bag: What new mother doesn’t need a tote bag? Every new mom could use a tote bag to carry all her things and baby’s things with her on the go. This one comes in multiple colors and patterns, and has pockets for easy access to all her things.

Gifts That Pamper
Does your mom work hard to take care of everyone and everthing? I know my mother is always thinking of others. Occasionally moms need a little pampering and these gifts do just that.
- Cozy Warming Slippers– You know those rice bags that you can heat in the microwave? These are slippers that do the same thing. What a cool idea. Just warm them up and slip them on for a relaxing moment. You can also put these in the fridge for those moms who run hot.
- Relaxing Bath Gift Set– This set comes with a calming essential oil roll on, a bath soak, and bath salts. Give your mom the gift of relaxation. When my daughter was young, often the only time I got to myself was bath time and bedtime

3. Cozy Socks– These socks are best sellers for a reason. They are ultra soft, machine washable and priced well. They come in a baby pink, a sky blue or a beige color and you can buy one pair or a set of up to three pairs.
4. Migraine relief eye mask– This mask can be cooled or warmed up for headache relief. I like that it covers more than the traditional cooling eye mask. Luckily I don’t get migraines, but quite a few of my fellow mom friends do. So if your mom suffers headaches this gift will help pamper her.

Gifts For The Mom with Everything
- Mom I Want to Hear Your Story– My daughter got me a book of questions to fill out about myself. The idea is you answer the questions and writing prompts and then give it back to your child as a keepsake. My daughter was so excited to have me fill this out, so she can get to know my story better. Let me tell you I have had so much fun filling this out.
- Birthstone Necklace– This personalized birthstone necklace from Etsy, is so cute. Mom’s love to show off their kids, and what better way to do this than a necklace with all the kids birthstones.

3. Birthflower Personalized Glass Tumbler– I bought these off of Etsy for Christmas for my daughters. I love that they are personalized. The shipping was fast and they are so cute. I use my own to make cold matcha tea lattes, and it comes with a wooden top and straw. The glasses come in frosted or clear options.

4. 400 year old Sourdough Starter– If your mom likes to bake, get her this really old sourdough starter. I bought this myself to start baking my own sourdough. It comes active, and you just add flour and water in equal weights to it to activate it before using. Store in the fridge for the occasional baker or leave on the counter for the frequent baker. This company offers multiple different strains of sourdough starters from Soviet Rye all the way to Egyptian.

5. 50 States 5000 Ideas Book– Is your mom retired and into traveling? This book has 5000 ideas of things to do in each state. I know that my parents really enjoy traveling and they are always planning another trip. Give the gift that gives back. Created by National Geographic, it has tons of colorful pictures.

I hope that this gift guide has been helpful, and that it inspires you.
