Dear readers, this is a day to let your leaders, and politicians know what women’s rights you support : such as gender equality, reproductive rights, violence and abuse against women, to name a few. https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials

Here in America, we must speak up for women in places where it’s not safe for them to speak up.

Why Does this Matter?

  • 47 countries still have no repercussions for husbands who rape their wife
  • In June 2022 Roe V. Wade was overturned in the United States, leading many states to ban abortions, and restrict access to reproductive healthcare.
  • 45 countries do not have specific laws against domestic violence
  • 30% of women globally have experienced sexual or physical violence in their lifetime
  • Globally as many as 38% of all murders of women are committed by intimate partners
  • Women in the US typically earn around 83 cents for every dollar earned by men
  • Nearly 300,000 minors, under age 18, were legally married in the U.S. between 2000 and 2018
